Lédger® Live™ Staking

Stake Supported Crypto While Maintaining Hardware-Based Control

Lédger® Live™ Staking provides a convenient way to stake selected cryptocurrencies and track rewards through Ledger's wallet ecosystem. Depending on the blockchain and available service, users can choose a validator or staking provider and approve transactions directly through their Ledger hardware device. Ledger currently lists assets including ETH, SOL, ATOM, DOT and other supported networks for staking.

Ledger states that staking rewards are not guaranteed. Rates, validator commissions, network conditions, eligibility, and unstaking requirements can vary by blockchain and provider. Users should review the specific conditions before committing funds.

How Ledger Live Staking Works

To begin, create an account for a supported asset and transfer or acquire the cryptocurrency. Open the Earn section or the relevant asset account, select an available staking option or validator, choose the amount, and confirm the transaction on your Ledger hardware device. The Earn section can also help users monitor staking positions and rewards.

A major feature of Ledger's staking approach is hardware-based custody. Ledger says that when users stake through its ecosystem, their private keys remain secured by the Ledger hardware device. Some networks may impose an unbonding period before staked assets become available again, so the rules of each blockchain should be checked beforehand.
